Newly remodeled with stainless steel kitchen appliances, chic coastal décor and oodles of natural light, you're a 5 minute walk to Vacation Beach - a longtime local's favorite spot. Or take a 2 minute walk to the Vacation Beach Road summer crossing to launch the provided standup paddleboards (seasonal) and see things from a river otter's perspective. After paddling, you'll be ready for a cozy nap or soak in the hot tub before exploring the eclectic towns of the lower Russian River, stocking up at a farmer's market and BBQ-ing on the back deck to dine under the stars.

This quiet residential neighborhood is fabulous for families! A half basketball court and playground are a block away. And a couple of heirloom apple trees grace the front yard. Pick a few and bake a pie! Grab some blackberries to toss on ice cream!

Wine lovers will love the proximity to tasting rooms in downtown Guerneville and area wineries. Breweries, cider-makers and distillers round out Sonoma County's wealth of adult beverage makers. Vacation Beach Bungalow is an ideal home base for your Sonoma County adventures.

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours:
The maximum occupancy at Vacation Beach Bungalow is 8 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: There is parking for 3 cars: 2 in the driveway, 1 in front of the house (designated for this home). The garage is not available for parking cars. Street parking is scarce. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: First bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: King bed; Third bedroom: two Double beds.

Heat Source: This house has a great wall heater in the living room and supplemental electric heaters in each bedroom.

A/C: The house does not have air conditioning. Being near the coast, the night time temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house

Stairs: There are two sets of stairs at the house: one from the parking area to the front door and one from the back deck to the backyard where the hot tub is located.

Fencing: The front yard is open to the street, but the back yard is fully fenced.

River Access: Docks and beaches are seasonal only and available from mid-June to mid-September providing the summer dams are in. Canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and rowboats that are provided in some of our homes are also available from mid-June to mid-September only. The river is usually too swift for boating in the winter and many docks and beaches are under water until late spring.

Proximity to Wineries: There are several tasting rooms in downtown Guerneville, approx. 2 miles from the house - and many, many more wineries within a few miles of the house.

Nearest River Beach: The nearest river access is at Vacation Beach Rd - a couple minute walk, less than .2 mi. The nearest seasonal (sandy) beach is a five minute walk - .3 mi - from the house.

Nearest Ocean Beach: The coastal beaches in Jenner are approx. 16 miles from the house.

This cozy, clean, and light-filled house was a great holiday getaway for our family of 5. We had never been to Guerneville in the winter and enjoyed snuggling in for movies and games during the rainy days. The house is in a great location for a short trip into town and a walk through the majestic Redwoods. Beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was a huge treat - even in the rain. Beautiful property. BBQ was fabulous and clean upon arrival.HotTub had some sentiment at the bottom and the water level was low. Attempted to contact management for an extra cleaning but was given ideas/suggestions of how i can fix it. Had to wait for the weekly cleaning of the tub. That was my only gripe. Otherwise, the property was beautiful in a quiet, beautiful location.-via Vrbo

We always recommend guests rinse off before using the hot tub to keep sand out. The spa service said it would be ok if you wanted to add water to the tub but it was otherwise perfect! Most windows did not open so it was hard to get a breeze. Cabinet knobs fell off; middle grill burner didn't light. Fridge door rack broken Location was fine, house was comfortable, A bit of effort in maintenance would make it super nice-via Vrbo

It was a very comfortable, beautiful stay! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked- toaster, blender, microwave, coffee pot, lots of pots and pans, knives, some basic spices and oils. They supplied a nice speaker that we took out on the deck. The gas grill was awesome to make hamburgers on. The hot tub was aaaaamazing! There were extra towels in the linen closet and board game AND yoga mats. This house has it all. It was five mins to walk to the beach and it’s a 7 min drive to town. Heads up- the washer and dryer are in the bottom floor unit and you have to use the key to get in. It was so perfect for a girls weekend. Everyone had a great time!-via Airbnb

Clean and spacious with lovely vibrant neighbors. The house was easy to find and accessible by car to Guerneville for lots of great shops and restaurants. Nice as well to have access to the extra floats and life jackets in garage for taking to the river. We were hoping to find the nearby walkable sandy beach but ended up driving to better places upstream that were more suitable for kids. Hot tub was great fun, and very clean. It was a very very cute spot! It was in a nice quiet neighborhood and was easy to find. The inside was very spacious and great for a bigger group of people. I was worried the double beds would be too small but they were actually a really good size, enough for two people to sleep in one bed. We enjoyed the hot tub soo much!! It was a little rainy and cold but it was absolutely beautiful. We’ll definitely consider coming back and staying here maybe in the summer next time!!-via Vrbo

The home was wonderful, clean, well stocked, and private. It was close to downtown but located in a cute, quiet community. The local beach within walking distance was very nice and the kids loved playing in the shallow water as well as swimming. We spent a lot of time walking and picking blackberries in the neighborhood. We stayed here for a Mother's Day weekend to the river, and boy did we enjoy ourselves. The home is spacious, and gets great natural light during the day. Nice spacious getaway for Thanksgiving: stayed here for 5 nights with 2 small families, a large turkey feast and a badminton set - all of which the accommodation handled. Hot tub was a nice addition, large spacious back deck and quaint front porch to catch the morning and afternoon sunlight.

We had a nice stay here, it was very relaxing and private. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was very well-stocked. Great wifi and cable service as well.It's somewhat challenging to get to this home as it's very deep in the woods and there are some winding, narrow roads to get there. It is worth the drive for the peace and quiet, however.

Great house in a great location. Decks and outdoor space are fantastic, as is the hot tub. House is well appointed with all you need for a great River weekend - floats, SUP, chairs, beach towels, etc. Kitchen has all the basics covered. All three bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. One minor suggestion - kitchen cabinets and drawers need a good cleaning, wiping down the inside, throwing away of old spices, etc. Not a huge deal but didn't feel sparkling clean once you opened the cabinets.

This was a perfect house for our six person getaway. The house is updated with a well equipped kitchen and grill and ample outdoor space. It's walking distance to the river and a quick 5 minute drive into town in Guerneville. I'd absolutely recommend this place for medium sized groups or families.

Great house, with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend for our family of six. Two adults and four kids. The beds are super comfortable, everyone slept a lot longer than usual. The hot tub was excellent. The house has thoughtful touches, great games to play. Kids loved the outside area. The house is perfect for a getaway, in a quiet spot along the river. Plenty of space for two families to enjoy, and a great kitchen well stocked for cooking (pots/pans). The living area is comfortable and spacious. With only one wall heater, it's a bit chilly in the bedrooms on a cold week, but otherwise, the space is perfect.
