Description

Contente is a spacious 4 bedroom, 4 bath Russian River vacation rental. This comfortable vacation home features a 3 bedroom main house, a separate master bedroom suite and a recreation room with a pool table and ping pong table, as well as a patio and a spa.

The main living space has an open floor plan with high ceilings, bamboo floors, an elegant dining room, comfortable couches and a large plasma TV. The fully equipped kitchen comes complete with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Off of the dining room and 3 of the bedrooms are glass doors leading to a large, long deck that faces the river. This deck offers outdoor dining and a gas grill. All 3 bedrooms have Queen beds. The separate suite has a living room, full kitchen, private bath and master bedroom. The suite's bedroom faces the river and features a King bed and glass doors that lead to the deck.

The garage (accessed by exterior stairs) offers a recreation room complete with pool tables and a ping pong table, and a laundry room. The back patio is landscaped and has a spa. Enjoy direct access to the Russian River. Just walk through the gate and down the custom rock stairway, across a half an acre lawn area to a path leading down to a large beach. A boat is included (available mid-June through mid-September only) for scenic rides along the river. Contente shares this beautiful three-acre property with Culture Blend.

Contente is located east of downtown Guerneville, in the heart of the Russian River Valley. This vacation rental is walking distance to two local breweries and a restaurant. It is also just a mile from Korbel winery and many other Russian River Valley wineries.

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Contente is 14. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 4 vehicles. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes:
Main House: First bedroom: Queen bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: Queen bed; Main living room: 2 Queen sofa beds.
Suite: Suite bedroom: King bed; Suite living room: Queen sofa bed

Heat Source: Central heat.

Rec/Game Room: The game room is an uninsulated space without central heating. There is a portable electric heater in the game room.

A/C: The house does not have air conditioning. Being near the coast, the night time temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house.

Docks and Boats: Docks and beaches are seasonal only and available from mid-June to mid-September providing the summer dams are in. Canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and rowboats that are provided in some of our homes are also available from mid-June to mid-September only. The river is usually too swift for boating in the winter and many docks and beaches are under water until late spring.

Location: Contente is located approximately 1.5 miles east of downtown Guerneville on River Road, a busy two-lane road that connects Guerneville to Highway 101. Due to double wall construction, there is very little road noise inside the home, as well as on the back deck and lower lawn area.The driveway and front staircase face the road. All outdoor living areas are shielded from the road by the home, natural surroundings and a 10-foot high privacy fence (at the front of the property only). The neighborhood is a mix of residential and commercial. Neighbors include full-time residents, a local pub, a deli, a self-serve carwash and a gas station/mini mart. Be aware that though there is a visual privacy, the carwash can be heard when in use and noise from the pub may be heard. We have had very few mentions from guests about either of these establishements. Please contact our office if you have any questions about the proximity of the road or any other questions about the property. Members of our staff have stayed at this home, and loved it!

Walk To: There are 2 bars, a restaurant and community pool within walking distance. (Stumptown Brewery and Farmhand are two doors down; the Rio Nido Roadhouse is less than a 10 minute walk. Both Stumptown and the Rio Nido Roadhouse have live music on a regular basis. The restaurant Farmhand is next to Stumptown.) Great Wine Country location! Korbel winery and vineyards are only 0.2 miles east. The walk to downtown Guerneville is over 1.5 miles but completely flat.

Shared Three Acre Property: Contente shares the lawn and river access with Culture Blend, a similar 4 bedroom, 4 bath home that also sleeps 14 guests. Together, the homes make up the property known as The Enchanted Forest Estate.

Please note that there is an annual event, the Russian River Beer Revival, that happens the third weekend in August. This is a weekend event at the brewery three doors down from Contente. The event has live music, a BBQ cook-off, and a lot of people drinking beer. It will be loud on the Friday and Saturday of the event.

Contente was unbelievable! Me and 9 girlfriends stayed here for 4 days for my 60th. Tons of space, easy walk to the river, amazing comfort. Truly the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever seen at an Air BB. I stayed in the suite which has its own bedroom, bath, living room and small kitchen and there were still three more bedrooms inside. The view is amazing. Tons of birds to watch. The downstairs was a blast. Played music and pool and sat in the hot tub. We loved cooking together in the spacious kitchen and eating on the deck. The pub is .3 a mile down and serves excellent local beers. Korbel Winery is a mile or two the other way and gives a fantastic 90-minute tour and history lesson. All my guests just raved about how perfect this place is for a semi-large gathering or multi-family vacation. I’m even suggesting it as a small wedding venue for a friend. The pictures just don’t do it justice. The vibe is warm, spacious, wild, and homey all at the same time. Don’t regret a single penny spent-via Airbnb

Great property for a large group! 6 of us stayed here for a girls weekend and we loved this property. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean, the hot tub was awesome and we really enjoyed using it when it got chilly! We really enjoyed having the river access in right in the backyard, It is a fairly steep set of stairs down so if anyone in your group has limited mobility it may be difficult for them to get down. We were in town for a family wedding and really enjoyed the location, how pretty the backyard and view of the river, and our older teens/YA loved the game room. It was a tight-ish fit with all of our “kids” being older but it worked (we were at max occupancy). The deck was an awesome space for my sisters and our family to hang out in and the separate suite space worked great for our sister with the larger family.-via Airbnb

The place is very nice and equipped with pretty much everything you might need for a retreat during the winter. The only thing I didn't realize, which might be my fault for overlooking, is not knowing that there are two SEPARATE rooms connected by a balcony-like walkway (the two doors you see in the picture looking up from the driveway). I would imagine this super well if there were two families spending time together or couples wanting separate rooms, but in our case the hope was that we would have one giant space. It is what it is, but figured people should pay attention to this detail. Also, the playroom is super cool, but it's not heated at all (you're provided a tiny space heater) and it's again, completely separate from everything else meaning you have to go outside and walk down the side of the building, so it was freezing and no one was inclined to spend any time there. Otherwise, the hot tub was nice, the backyard is literally direct access to Russian River so that was nice.-via Airbnb

We've stayed in a lot of such houses but rarely so well-equipped and so exactly matching the website's description. All the kitchen tools, linens etc were good quality and the house was spotless. We can't wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the river and the deck. We don't need any other Guerneville vacation rental suggestions now that we know about Contente.

This is a great house with amazing river access - that was definitely the highlight. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and new appliances that made margaritas a daily treat :) Also we really appreciated the back up gas tank for the grill!The downstairs game room was awesome as well!We've been coming up for July 4th the last 5 years and this house was by far our favorite, though it is significantly more pricey than the others and in some ways, totally worth it.There was so much room for us to have space, and given everything going on with Covid, it was so nice for everyone to have their own bathrooms and bedrooms.

We loved our 3-night stay in these 2 side-by-side houses. Guerneville is a great location to serve as a base for enjoying the surrounding area (Goat Rock State Beach, Armstrong Redwood State Park, as well as many delightful wineries and breweries). There were 14 of us (extended family): 5 couples and 4 singles; only 1 person had to sleep on the pull-out sofa. The beds were comfy with plenty of loft for the cold weather (we were there in December). We used the kitchen in Contente as our dining base; plenty of space for us all to eat and then enjoy board games afterward. Later, the younger generation enjoyed pool and ping pong in the garage/basement.The only snags were a broken heater in one of the suites, which was fixed the next day, and some lights that were out in the garage (a flipped circuit). The staff was responsive and other than that, everything was great. Remember to bring your own shampoo and a box of kleenex if, like me, you are an allergy sufferer.I highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

Great place for a reunion! We truly enjoyed our stay here. We did note a few minor things that needed attention: 1) A pillow in the corner bedroom was torn at the seam; 2) no placemats were provided for the dining table ; 3) bathroom sink in the Suite drained very slowly; 4) a leak in under the Suite kitchen sink, in spite of a visit by a plumber; 5) no dish towels were provided in the Suite kitchen. But overall, the facilities were excellent.

Contente was absolutely beautiful and spacious. The house has everything you need, including the well-equipped kitchen that our group cooked a Friendsgiving feast in with no issues. All appliances are modern and work well. The large game room downstairs was fun, and having the backyard and river just past it was wonderful. Would definitely come back, and hopefully visit the nearby Armstrong Redwoods when the air is less smoky!

Wonderful rental. Everything you need is there. We rented both places and had about 25-28 people in and out based on arrival and departure patterns. Very easy to contact rental coordinators with questions. Only thing to note: when you rent both there is no easy way to get from one house to another. It became a joke for us all- go all the over , then down, then up, then over and repeat to return. I say it in jest because it was all good fun!! Loved the game rooms, used the kayaks on the river, hot tubs were delightful!! Thank you for helping to make our wedding trip even nicer! Note: This guest rented both Contente and the next door home Culture Blend, which together make up Enchanted Forest Estate.

This place is very well-equipped for a large group. We had four couples that stayed three nights. Each couple gets their own bedroom and bathroom. There is a large dining room table and plenty of space for dancing.Downstairs there are two pool tables and a ping pong table. The guys liked being able to go down and play and get away from the gals for a few hours.We walked down to the river both days and enjoyed the view and peacefulness. We'll have to come back during the summer sometime.
