Description

Experience the beauty of the Russian River Valley wine country at Redwood Lane Retreat! Situated high above the Drake Estates neighborhood, offering breathtaking views of Williams Seylem Vineyards and Drake's Apple Orchards, this well-appointed home features rich hardwood floors, an open kitchen and dining area, as well as a stone wood-burning fireplace.

Off the dining and living room area are sliding glass doors leading to a large sunny deck with outdoor dining, gas grill and gorgeous views. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, complete with a wine cooler. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom with a walk-in tile shower with double showerheads and a rain showerhead. The home stays warm in the winter with central forced air heating and cool in the summer with air conditioning.

A bottle of complimentary wine is waiting for you! Just sit back and relax with a great glass of wine on the expansive deck overlooking vineyards and apple orchards. Or take a short 2.5 block walk to visit Drake's neighborhood beach on the Russian River.

Redwood Lane Retreat is located approximately 2 miles from downtown Guerneville. It is a 15 minute drive to many Russian River Valley wineries and the Sonoma Coast.

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Redwood Lane Retreat is 8. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: There is room in the driveway for up to 2 cars, and street parking is available on a first-come first-served basis. (Garage is used for storage and not available for parking ). RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Master bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: two Double beds; Living room: Double European sleeper sofa

Heat Source: Gas forced air heater with thermostat; wood burning fireplace in living room (no firewood or kindling provided)

We had a great experience renting the house on Redwood Lane. Tucked behind a vineyard and set among giant Redwood trees, this is a perfect spot to unwind. The master bedroom on the main level was very comfortable with one of the nicest master bathroom showers we have ever seen! The view from the deck is spectacular. We would definitely recommend staying here!

The house and amenities were much better than expected. Slept 8 people comfortably. Was right down the street from a public beach, the grill (and view) were perfect ways to end the evening! Couldn't recommend this house enough for a vacation away from the city. Accessible to downtown as well (5 min drive). Thank you again!

This was our very first time in renting an Air B&B and we loved it! This home is well kept, comfortable, clean, dog friendly, and it felt like home the minute we walked through the door. The location can't be beat, we were close to the Russian River, Redwoods, Wine Country, and the beautiful CA Coast! My only complaint is that we didn't have a chance to do everything on our list......so, guess we will have to come back! A big thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Bottom line, this place is fantastic. We visited in November to celebrate my mother's 50th birthday, and we were blessed with some of the greatest weather. We had 4 guests, and it was definitely plenty big enough for us, and everyone had their own bed. Truth be told, the master bedroom was so big, I think that all four of us could have stayed in there. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookware needed to make breakfast every morning. The view from the deck is gorgeous. It was so nice to step outside on a brisk morning with coffee and take it all in. My personal opinion- the place and view were worth it, however, I will say that getting to this location was a little more difficult than I anticipated. It is fairly out of the way, and down some very narrow, windy roads. That being said, I would not have traded it for a different place based on that, but I think it is worth noting. The hosts were also so gracious as to leave us a bottle of wine. Thank you!

I stayed here with a group of friends for a girls' weekend getaway. The house has a beautiful deck overlooking a vineyard that we used for yoga, drinking wine, and sipping our morning coffee. The house is perfectly located for access to the quaint town of Guerneville and a beautiful drive to many area attractions. We spa'ed, wine tasted, and hiked. Wonderful weekend and I would definitely recommend this house.

The place was truly in the middle of the redwoods and we enjoyed them so much! The walk to the Russian River was very manageable and the river was lovely, perfect for floating on inflatables. There were a good number of non-perishable food items in the kitchen and we appreciated the welcome bottle of wine. The deck was a great place to hang out at all times of day and we could see so many stars at night!

"Redwood hideaway"

We rented this house for the Thanksgiving holiday with grown kids and a dog. Loved it! It was large enough for all of us and we got to hang out upstairs in the great room and look out at the redwoods and the vineyard across the road. The kitchen was big and easy and had everything we needed to cook our meal. Rooms were spacious and the master bath had a huge shower...looked like it had been recently remodeled. It's on a quiet street and we took a walk on Thanksgiving morning and went around to the side streets and were greeted by the friendly neighbors. It's close to town - about a mile away. Upon arrival there was a bottle of wine and a welcome card from the homeowners. All linens were provided. I would suggest bringing extra kitchen towels though. If we decide to get away to Guerenville again this would be a place to stay...

"Birthday weekend"

I stayed here for my 28th birthday with a group of my friends. I am from this area but live in San Francisco now and all I wanted to do was spend a weekend in the sunshine by the river with good friends. This place was perfect. It had a great deck over looking the vineyards. A great kitchen with everything you could ask for and a bbq outside. We did yoga out on the deck in the am and ate breakfast out the on the porch. There is beach access not far from the house - walking distance where you can watch the kayaks float by. I highly recommend this place.

Stayed at this house three years in a row. We keep coming back because we love it!Favorite things about this house:- Fantastic deck. You want to sit out here all day.- Open main floor - perfect for gathering.- Main bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Shower to die for!- Walking distance to private River access.- 2 downstairs bedrooms. Quiet retreat from the group upstairs.A few things to note:- Quite a few stairs to get into home - place not suitable for anyone with disabilities - Grill can be a bit spotty - burners don't always fire correctly.- Bring some citronella candles for the deck- Kitchen cabinets are a bit funky - open into each other- Not a huge amount of counter space- We bring our own wine glasses when we go- We bring a radio to play music from our iPhones - the radio there not so great- Deck could use a bigger table (seat 6) and could use lounge chairs We love the modern, open feel of this place! Tucked away, not in a frequented area of RR. Quiet neighbors. No River view but great view of vineyards.

"Great getaway house"

Everything worked out well. Rental company very easy to work with. Coming from the east coast, this was huge. Deposit returned asap. Nice bottle of wine upon arrival. Relaxing views. We were there in early March so I'm sure they are even better in summer. Huge deck. Amazing double shower in master. Other bedrooms are downstairs so understand that you will hear someone walking above. Great fireplace, really draws well. Quality appliances. Only possible negative is that there were no games. Just make sure and bring your own if you want that.

"Absolutely relaxing and revitalizing weekend."

The house was gorgeous with nice decor and comfortable beds and couches. The free bottle of wine was nice and welcoming as well. Beautiful kitchen with plenty of cookware and dishware. Patio was nice and relaxing as well.The Upstairs shower was amazing with 3 different shower heads. Well designed house.

"Beautiful Home for a Girls Getaway Weekend!"

We loved this home! The kitchen and bathrooms are all remodeled and we loved making dinner at the home. We enjoyed our breakfasts out on the deck before a limo picked us up for wine tasting. A nice beach is located a few blocks from the home. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Russian River.

"Perfect home base for our trip"

Redwood Lane Retreat served as our home based during the Vineman 70.3 weekend. It was comfortable, spacious and had great views. If my friends and family are crazy enough to participate again in Vineman 70.3, this would be my destination of choice. Even spent some time at the beach - about a five minute walk from the house.

"Festive Thanksgiving Weekend"

My family and I rented Redwood Lane Retreat over Thanksgiving and had a great time. It is well appointed, clean, and well-decorated. The view off the back deck is beautiful and relaxing. When we got there to we were pleasantly surprised that the house was already all decorated for Christmas. Very cool! My only complaint is that for a house that sleeps 6 comfortably, there is not quite enough seating in the living room. I would suggest they have 2 couches to accommodate the whole party. That's it though! Everything else was great :)

"The Best"

We were more than thrilled with our accommodations! This place is gorgeous. Its immaculately clean - to even the fact that the smell is just pure heaven. We will hopefully be back soon. I can't say enough good things about this house. I wish I could live there all year around. It was very close to town and very close to tons of vineyards... Do yourself a favor and stay here. Talking about it makes me want to go back, pronto!

"Gorgeous house with amazing Views!"

This house had everything we wished for and more! If there were one thing I'd like to add it would be a hot tub. The views were awesome, it was extremely clean and very cozy! we loved grilling out and enjoying the wine from the vineyard we visited! This house is a definite must stay at place!

"very nice accomodations"

Certainly off the beaten path, nice views from deck. Very functional kitchen with nice appliances, large dining room and great room with large fireplace. Master bedroom with special shower in bathroom on main floor. Separate bedrooms (2) downstairs with a full bath at that level. Overall, nice experience. Not a place for anyone with problems with stairs as getting into front door requires traversing 2 small flights (no handicap accessibility here!) Lighting (or lack thereof) in great room needs to be addressed but is easily remedied with a few more lamps.

"Wonderful family reunion during the Christmas Season"

We used the Redwood Lane Retreat as the venue for a weekend reunion with two of our grown children. The home was exquisitely appointed and warmly decorated for the holidays -- it was truly home away from home -- and we made good use of the large wine cooler in the kitchen, starting with the bottle of wine that greeted us. The home's central location in the Russian River Wine Country was a real plus and the outstanding service in making all the arrangements made our experience one of the best we've had at home rentals.Thank you.

"Thanksgiving made extra special by our experience"

In search of a place to bring together our family from all over the US, we picked Sonoma and took a chance on the Redwood Lane Retreat in Guerneville. The service we received in the booking process was excellent but were still anxious to get to the place and see if it felt right. Well, we loved it from the moment we walked in. The location is ideal, we were able to be on the coast in no time, drive up Westside Road within minutes, drive to Alexander Valley even within 45 mins. The home itself was perfect for us as we like to cook and the great room, kitchen combination was ideal for cooking and being together. The rooms and bathrooms we big and modern. The deck and the view was a nice bonus as we did not expect that. Our only complaints were that the downstairs bedrooms were both full size beds when queens would easily fit and the kitchen utensils were very limited (bring your own!).
