Description

Gillaroo House is a beautiful, comfortable and practical home. Modern and well-furnished, this large 4 bedroom, 3 bath home has space for your group to spread out and enjoy relaxing days in this quiet riverfront Russian River neighborhood.

Indoors: Gillaroo House is a two-story home with the entrance on the lower level. As you walk in the front door, the open living/dining/kitchen is to the right, and doors to one full bath and the downstairs bedroom are straight ahead. The staircase to the upper floor is to the left. Natural light illuminates the main living area. The living room offers a flat screen television for watching cable TV as well as a DVD player. A fully-equipped kitchen offers a gas range, dishwasher and icemaker. Upstairs features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

The master bedroom is a world unto itself with a luxurious King bed, private balcony with views of the hills (and a tiny peak of the river) and a master bathroom with bathtub, walk-in shower and double vanity. A walk-in closet is located off the master bathroom. The second bedroom features a Queen bed; the third bedroom features a Queen bed and a Twin bunk bed. There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo off the hallway. Enjoy the Ping Pong table in the garage for some extra fun!

Outdoors: Sunshine is abundant in this location. The large front porch has French doors leading into the inside dining area and looks out over a small landscaped yard and driveway. The side patio has a gas barbecue and a lovely outdoor dining set. To the back of the house is the master bedroom balcony and a gate leading out to a small graveled riverfront lane.

Access to a large neighborhood beach is less than half a block from the back gate, just four doors down. Gillaroo House is surrounded by a tall privacy fence.

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Gillaroo House is 10. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: The garage is available for parking. There is additional parking in the driveway, for a total of 4 parking spaces. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Master bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: Queen bed, Twin bed bunks; Fourth Bedroom: Queen Bed

Heat Source: Forced-air central heat

A/C: The house does not have air conditioning. Being near the coast, the night time temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house.

Location: Quiet Guerneville neighborhood. Four doors down from access to a large river beach.

Docks & Boats: Docks and beaches are seasonal only and available from mid-June to mid-September providing the summer dams are in. Canoes and kayaks are provided in some of our homes and are available from mid-June to mid-September only. The river is usually too swift for boating in the winter and many docks and beaches are under water until late spring.

Summer family get together

Well, I finally got my son his wife and 10-month-old baby along with my daughter her husband and three children ages 5 to 10 and my girlfriend and I together for the first time ever show my grandchildren could meet each other since baby. Zoe is so little the house was everything I had hoped for and then some, plenty of room for the kids to burn off steam after spending the entire day at the river, kayaking, swimming fishing and enjoying our surroundings. The house is very clean and well equipped for everyone. The rooms were spacious the washer and dryer were a definite bonus proximity to the river was excellent. It took about two minutes to walk down there , I wished it had some sort of a fire pit for cooking s’more’s at night, but we managed to do without the house was very clean and extremely well equipped. I can’t wait till next year when we make this a reoccurring vacation destination. I live very close by and yet felt like I was in another world Russian River vacation rentals did a great job, communicating and keeping me apprised of, everything to do around us highly highly recommend it-via Vrbo

This was a wonderful house for our trip! We visited with a couple of families, and had lots of little kids running around the house. The house was clean and spacious, and we definitely appreciated the many bathrooms, all including tubs for kid baths. We really enjoyed the large, communal kitchen, dining and living room; there was always space for everyone to hang out and eat meals together. The neighborhood was nice to walk around and it was a very short drive to the main beach and town. Would definitely stay here again, thank you!-via Airbnb

Very spacious and well-equipped 4BR/3BA. Fully stocked kitchen with all the cookware and dining ware you could want, garage with ping pong table, second fridge, river day gear and kayaks, BBQ, porch, trellis patio table. Beautiful, quiet place for 8-10. Only downside is the two parking spaces inside the gate - you definitely cannot fit two large cars there.-via Airbnb

We’ve rented many homes through Air B&B over the years and this one was the best, yes, the Best. Everything was as advertised, everything worked, the house is so well equipped and so clean. Communication with River Homes was excellent. If you’re familiar with the Russian River area, as we are, you know that many of the homes here are, putting it nicely, ‘rustic’. Not Gillaroo House. A Really Wonderful, Peaceful Spot

This place was just perfect for a 50th birthday weekend. Clean, spacious, airy. Plenty of room for everyone, a nice big table for some late-night poker sessions, well-appointed kitchen and so quiet! A ten-minute drive to town, and a quick walk to the beach. We also spent a lot of time on the front verandah just drinking coffee and enjoying the silence. We used Bill's Taxi to get to Steelhead Beach for a float down the Russian. Highly recommended.

This is by far one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. The house is well-stocked with all amenities needed. We were extremely comfortable and enjoyed our time there. There are plenty of extras for outdoor activities kayaks and beach toys, everything you'll need to enjoy your day down by the water. The location is private enough but close enough to town, the town of Guerneville has many great offering such as restaurants, grocery store and gas stations. We will be back!!

This was a wonderful place for our whole family of 10--3 generations! The master suite was incredible with it's own deck. A ping pong table in the garage kept us all in shape and was the source for lots of laughing! Being so close to the beach, which felt very private and safe during this COVID time, was so much fun for the little ones. Beach chairs and boogie boards were an added surprise.The kitchen was well stocked, had lots of plates .etc and even spices we didn't expect to have. The front porch was my favorite place for my morning coffee....we felt so fortunate to have rented here.

Easily accessible off Hwy 116 with good parking if you have more than one vehicle. In addition to available parking in the garage, the garage is well stocked with outdoor recreational amenities and a ping pong table. Two ovens in the kitchen is a nice touch for those looking to cook up relaxing meals. The porch was perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. River access is a short walk 4 doors down from rear access. Highly convenient and spacious enough for families or groups.

This is the best-equipped rental house we've been in. From river toys (2 kayaks and a wagon to haul your gear) to kitchen utensils, pots and pans, it has what you need. The house is freshly renovated and nicely decorated. The layout is wonderful with living space next to eating areas. The garage has a ping pong table and, and the porch has comfy chairs and a swing. The only drawback was that the outdoor eating table was far from the kitchen, but that's a minor consideration. Since it gets very cool at night, it was not an issue at all to have no air conditioning. A few more fans could be helpful if the nights were warm. You can't beat the 3 minute walk from the back gate to the neighborhood beach. We were glad to be away from the crowds during the busy summer months and Covid virus. We will definitely consider renting again - fabulous place, perfect location and excellent rental service with easy access to information.

The place is gorgeous and incredibly well-stocked. The kids loved the bunk beds and the many treasures in the garage (water toys mostly). Our adult sons enjoyed the ping pong table. The bedrooms (four) are very comfy and smartly decorated. The master bath features both a tub and a shower. The little kids loved the bath! I loved the kitchen--large, two ovens, large refrigerator (not to mention there is another in the garage)... Overall everyone was very disappointed when it came time to say good-bye. I anticipate renting this house again in the future.

We lived Gillaroo House! We were just a small group— but we really enjoyed the stay. The house really was impeccable. From relaxing on the front porch to the short path to the local beach we really took advantage of the space and the location. We even cooked outside one afternoon and enjoyed the patio. I highly recommend this house :)

I had the pleasure of renting the Gillaroo home for my family. I had an out of town wedding in Sonoma and needed a nice place for my family to call home for this very important week. From the very beginning Kate and Jordan were so helpful to give us access and answer all of our questions. The home was very clean and well stocked. It is located in a nice neighborhood and a short walk to the Russian River. The home had plenty of parking and natural light. It also has 3 full bathrooms and enough beds for all your guests needs. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was up to date. There was an issue with an appliance and the staff was quick to reimburse us. I will recommend this home to all my friends and plan to book this home again in the future. A great house with a wonderful team managing it!
