Hillside Home near the Russian River

Description

Above And Beyond is a lovely hillside home close to town and a short walk to the Russian River. With private, shaded decks a clean, modern interior, and numerous amenities for guests to enjoy, this cozy spot is an excellent choice for couples or families coming to visit the Russian River and Sonoma Wine Country.

The interior has 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The third bedroom has a television and DVD player. The kitchen is modern and fully stocked. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room and the dining area seats 6.

The exterior is all hillside, with a two-level deck. The top level has a BBQ, outdoor dining area and large 6-person spa. The lower level has additional outdoor seating. Just across the street from the bottom of the stairs, there is a neighborhood path that leads two blocks to a dog friendly neighborhood beach on the Russian River.

Know Before You Book

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Above and Beyond is 6. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 2 vehicles. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Stairs: There are 54 stairs from the parking area to the front door. On the plus side, the house is up on a hill and sits higher than its neighbors, giving the decks and interior a good degree of privacy.

Location: Above And Beyond is a two block walk from the Russian River and a mile walk from downtown Guerneville. Another vacation rental, Redwood Rendezvous, is located directly across the street and is a four bedroom two bath riverfront home that sleeps 8.

This is my second time staying at Above and Beyond and have a third booked for later this summer. The house is in a great location, only about 20 minutes or so walk to the main part of town. Super close to private beach access and the house is fully stocked with everything you need. If I were to complain about one thing, is there is no TV in any of the common areas and although we are mostly outdoors enjoying ourselves, I have a few friends who like to get up early and watch sports and if you are in the one room without a TV you are out of luck. Otherwise, this place is perfect!

"Great stay"

Clean stylish vacation home. The river is 5 minutes walk away, We loved the deck and the jacuzzi. Perfect place to recharge.

"Hidden jewel"

This place was clean, nice and lots of comfort.What I would improve is: wireless internet connection not available, but it did have wired internet if you knew how to tap into it. What might catch you off guard: The stairs to the top. Climb climb. The beauty. This place is very nice. Fairly quiet. Fairly excluded. I would definitely stay here again

Thanks for the feedback - there is now wifi! Above and Beyond is a new property as a vacation home and it took just a bit longer to get the wifi going than the regular high speed connection. The new info is in the home binder (with all the other interesting house details like breaker box locations and how to get to the river). Thanks for sharing!

"A Family affair"

We had so much fun in this house! It has a wonderful floor plan with open windows and views of the redwoods that make one feel as if they are in a treehouse. My personal favorites... The kitchen, so clean functional and open with every amenity a mom could want for whipping up meals... The hot tub,perfect temperature,amazing jets,enough said. Last but not least, the separation of the bedrooms for space and privacy when needed. It felt just like home,but much cleaner!!
