Updated 1pm on 9/9/2020 -

There are several fires burning in the Bay Area. Two different fires, the Myers Fire and the Walbridge Fire, directly impact western Sonoma County. Both fires are under control and all evacuation orders have been lifted.

Walbridge Fire (also known as the 13-4): Fire is 95% contained. This fire is burning in the mountainous areas north and east of Guerneville. Armstrong Woods is closed and will remain closed for some time. On 9/7, there was a flareup and an evacuation warning was issued for downtown Guerneville and areas north of the Russian River and east of town. Since then, all evacuation warnings and orders for all areas  have been lifted. Russian River businesses are open. Check helpful links below for the most up-to-date information

Myers Fire (11-6 Fire): Fire is 100% contained. This fire is north of Jenner, at the coast. Evacuation orders for surrounding areas have been lifted.

Air Quality: Sonoma County, like all of California, has been subject to varying degrees of poor air quality due to the many wild fires burning. The local air has been on-and-off affected to some degree by local fires, but we have been even more impacted by the fires that broke out in the Sierra Nevadas to the south east and are covering much of California in smoke. Our proximity to the coast means that air quality is often better here than areas inland. Still, air quality conditions change quickly and vary from good to poor even within the course of the day. We do not give refunds for air quality, as it is something that changes quickly, is difficult to predict, and can be affected by fires burning hundreds of miles away. See below for links to air quality maps.
