close to town and attractions
Reviewed on 2023-08-27 by DinaWe had a nice stay at Twinberry Wood. It is as it looks per the photos with the exception of the grill. We were expecting a larger one but the one provided, worked better after we switched to the other propane tank. The house and neighbor are quiet, the beds comfortable and kitchen was enjoyable to meal prep and cook in. Nice neighborhood to walk the dogs in and close to town and attractions.-via Airbnb

comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen,
Reviewed on 2023-05-30 by SarahWe enjoyed our stay, especially the comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, dining area, and lots of puzzles and games! Foosball was a blast. There is a lovely view from the back deck, though the house is quite close to a couple larger buildings directly across the street. We also found the beach access that was mentioned no longer accessible, perhaps due to construction nearby. We *loved* the DVD collection and had some really fun movie nights, but the futon set up as a second couch was too uncomfortable even for our 6 year old to sit on. That said, we still had a great time! Overall this is a conveniently located, cozy & kid-friendly place.-via Airbnb

beds were nice
Reviewed on 2023-04-01 by KevinCan't run both showers at the same time, you'll run out of hot water in less than 5 minutes. It was also strange to only have exactly 7 towels provided for 7 guests, and no additional towels provided for the hot tub. The shower in the master is pretty small, and has a strange cotton (see: not waterproof) 360° curtain. The beds were nice and the kitchen was very well equipped and clean. Bathrooms were nice, and was especially nice to have one downstairs. Fantastic DVD selection! Also the good stereo system with bluetooth in the living room next to the TV was awesome. Would stay again if I happen to end up in Guerneville with 6 friends overnight.-via Airbnb

Well Equipped and Super Clean!
Reviewed on 2022-06-12 by Elizabeth Bullard , Boulder Creek, CA USSuper clean and very well equipped kitchen. Stairs inside and out are steep and were a surprise when we arrived, our new hips and knee weren’t real happy but once settled we were very comfortable. Easy access to Russian river area and the hot tub is great! Since we weren’t there to disconnect, the wifi was very useful too.

Great summertime stay
Reviewed on 2020-08-12 by KeithAll the great things previous reviewers have said are true. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. I'll just note a few things that might be helpful for those considering this property:-Even in the heat of summer, the house really cools down at night if you leave windows and doors open. Don't be concerned about lack of AC.-The photos don't indicate this, but the deck where the hot tub sits is, in fact, exposed on one side to the across-the-street neighbors. This isn't a huge deal, but we were a bit surprised.-You're about a 5- 7 minute walk to the river, including a steep trail down. Again, not a huge deal, but elderly folks or very small kids might have a hard time making the walk. Once there, it's an amazing amenity to have since beach access (especially to sandy beaches) is super rare.We hope to be back!Hoping we get back here
Great house, great location
Reviewed on 2020-07-22 by Shaina BrownWe loved our time at Twinberry Wood. I appreciated a rental home that was comfortable and so well appointed. Many times, rental homes can be bare and lacking household essentials - this place was spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. There's nothing better than a morning soak in the hot tub or walk to the nearby river access. I would not that I was traveling with my mom (who just had a knee replacement) and her old dog - there are ALOT of steep stairs. In the end, we had to send the dog back - she just couldn't make the climb. I say this with the caveat that this house is DOG FRIENDLY. They genuinely mean it - they have dog blankets and bowls available. It was a very nice touch. The location can't be beat - you're minutes for the river and sweet “downtown” Guerneville. We can't wait to go back!
Definitely recommend!
Reviewed on 2020-03-10 by MelodyOur group of six has been going on an annual trip to the Russian River area for 5-6 years now, and this is by far one of our favorite places we've stayed at. It ticked all of the boxes for us - close access to the river, plenty of space for three couples to cook several meals, play board games, and lounge and watch movies together. The place has so many special touches, but the wooden hot tub was the main highlight for us! It was too cold to use the picnic table or grill, but could imagine it being very nice to enjoy meals out there if it were warmer. It was a wonderful time, and we could definitely imagine coming back again!

Experience the charm of Twinberry Wood, a custom designed, chalet-style log cabin nestled into a redwood and fern-lined hillside.
Built in 1994, it has all the modern amenities we've grown to love while honoring the tradition of timber construction of a bygone era. Original artwork adorns the walls while the windows and porches show you the magnificent greenery of the outdoors. BBQ and hot tub year-round on the main deck off the kitchen and dining area. With flat screen TVs in the living room and master bedroom with an expansive DVD collection, Disney +, a foosball table in the living room and a custom cedar hot tub on the back deck, you may not want to leave the house!
If you do want to explore the area, river access is roughly 2 minutes' walk and ample opportunities to browse shops and graze restaurants and wine tasting rooms in downtown Guerneville less than 5 minutes by car.
You may see Sheila, the pea hen, perched in a tree or on the deck and look through the sliding glass door. While dogs are welcome at Twinberry Wood, we ask that they be very well behaved and respectful of Sheila. Thank you for understanding that this is not the home for dogs with a strong hunting drive.

This was a mixed experience. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked having a big dining table. The beds were the comfiest I've ever experienced at an Airbnb. But the house overall was pretty strange and I found the DIY-bare wood aesthetic a little much. They've obviously shot the photos very carefully so it looks like the house is secluded in the woods but in fact, almost all the windows look out on other houses, including the master bedroom which is overlooked by an apartment building. One of the couches in the living room was so uncomfortable we couldn't sit on it which made that room not very usable. -via Airbnb
